These short moving image peices were for Project Magazine (an iPad only magazine) and were designed to be played on loop until you moved to the next page.
The original music for this video was not cleared for Project Magazine in time for their publication so I was asked to create some music to replace it in a very short space of time (2 days). As I was told the original music worked beautifully already, I stayed clear of trying to make anything that sounded too similar.
Here is the same video but with the original music
A remix/warp of a peice of music i’d recorded many years ago for a corporate video by Deadpan Films
Luckily for me my friend Kenna (Tim MacKenzie) was open to my suggestion of making some music for his short film Downturn 2 years ago (made by Deadpan Films) . After playing in bands on and off for many years but not having done too much in the last few years, this was the catalyst for me to try and get a better understanding of and explore the art of music making for moving image; from piano lessons (originally a non music reading guitarist), Sounds Design courses and Brazilian samba percussion classes to my current Orchestration and Composition lessons. Cheers Kenna!
